FAQ

How are applicant scores calculated?

openrole uses a weighted 100-point model built from the job posting and the applicant profile. The top skill and software rows count the most, and applicants earn more points when they meet or exceed the minimum years you set.

Weighted job requirements

Top Skill 1 carries the most weight, then Skill 2, Skill 3, and so on. Software is weighted the same way.

Experience alignment

If an applicant meets or exceeds your minimum years, they receive full points for that requirement. If they fall short, they receive partial or no points.

Supporting factors

Degree requirements and certifications can add supporting points, but the main score comes from skills, software, and experience alignment.

Visible ranking

Employers can still review all applicants. openrole simply sorts the strongest matches to the top first.

Posting Policy

What employers should not post

openrole is intended for legitimate, lawful hiring only. Employers should not post misleading, discriminatory, unpaid, adult, illegal, multi-level marketing, commission-only-without-clear-disclosure, or otherwise abusive job listings.

Jobs should clearly describe the role, compensation expectations, and hiring company. Listings that violate platform policy may be removed.
